The Adoration of Jenna Fox- Mary E. Pearson.
Macmillan, 2008. Audiobook. Read by Jenna Lamia.
I borrowed this from my local library.
I listened to this book a couple of months ago on my commute to school and I really enjoyed it! The story is about a teenage girl who wakes up with no memories and the people who claim that they are her family tell her that she was in a terrible accident. As she gets to know herself and her surroundings memories start to come back and it is obvious to Jenna that her parents are not telling her the whole truth. They shelter her way to much and she realizes that there is a mystery going on that she needs to get to the bottom of.
This was a captivating book, and the Jenna Lamia sounds exactly how I would imagine Jenna to sound. I was on the edge of my seat, trying to figure everything out until the very end. It was also heartbreaking. Jenna is a typical teenager and at times she reminded me of my teenagehood. Pearson did a great job of capturing that age in a realistic way.
Overall I recommend this book! It is a quick read, but you will not be able to stop thinking about it after you finish it.
