Is There Life After Death?

The EverAfter-Amy Huntley

HarperCollins, 2009. Pages: 248.

I borrowed this book from a friend.

I read this sweet little book in one go a few days ago. It is an interesting look at one theory of what happens when we die. 17 year old Madison wakes up in a dark space that she calls "is" and she is surrounded by the things that she lost throughout her life. She realizes that by touching these things, she is transported to her memory of the event.

I enjoyed this book. It isn't the suspenseful page turner that I have been reading lately, but it has stayed with me and made me think. Also, Madison cannot remember how she died until the end, and that is a twist that I did not predict. I definitely recommend this book.

I haven't seen any news for other books by Huntley yet, but I will look forward to them. However, if you enjoyed this book I also recommend The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, which is one of my all time favorites.
